Meredith Milholland LM, CPM
Meredith was born at home and she grew up knowing she wanted to support families through the transitional time of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She began to pursue midwifery as a life path in 2013, and apprenticed with two homebirth practices on the Olympic Peninsula before finishing up her clinical training at the Bellingham Birth Center. She attended Birthwise Midwifery School, based in Maine and graduated in 2018. Since then she has been working as a homebirth midwife with Salt and Cedar Midwifery and at True North Birth Center. Meredith has supported many families through the childbearing year and is excited to continue to serve this area for years to come. She is a member of the Midwives Association of Washington State (MAWS) and the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM).
Meredith has a deep appreciation for the value of community and the vulnerability and growth of that is central to parenthood. She is committed to showing up with compassion, sensitivity and respect for all families. She feels strongly about improving access to care, and holding space for empowered pregnancy, birth and throughout the postpartum time. In 2018 Meredith helped to start Thriving Together, a pregnancy and postpartum support circle in Jefferson County and continues to serve as a facilitator creating a safe space for exploring the journey of parenthood. Meredith has 2 magical children, 2 dogs, a pony, chickens and more on her small farm in Port Townsend, WA. When not working, she loves to be out into the wilderness and breathe the fresh air, spend time dancing, cooking, weaving and working on the farm.
